Rock salt, also known as Sendha Namak or Sendhalune, has many benefits as compared to common salt. Rock salt is mined naturally and therefore it is considered better for health. It is highly valued in Ayurveda in India. Many mineral substances dissolved in rock salt are also found in water.
Sendha namak, a type of salt, is formed when salt water from a sea or lake evaporates and leaves behind colorful crystals of sodium chloride. It’s also called halite, saindhava lavana, or rock salt.
